Sneak Preview of ‘The Belt’ – Downtown Detroit’s Newest Public Art Experience, Thursday, November 13 at 10AM

WHAT: Media is invited to walk through, photograph and shoot video of ‘The Belt’ – a newly activated alley between the buildings of The Z garage – brought to life with artwork by some of the best artists in the world. The Belt provides an intimate setting which includes canopy lighting, a concrete cobblestone walkway, and areas for food, drinks and live music. This new public space was created by the Detroit fine art gallery Library Street Collective and Bedrock Real Estate Services.

WHO: Jordan Nickel (aka POSE) whose artwork is currently featured in a pop- up, rotating art exhibit within ‘The Belt’ will be available for interviews. Also available are

WHERE: The alley is located in the middle of ‘The Z’ connecting Grand River and Gratiot Avenue between Broadway and Library Street in downtown Detroit. Parking is available on the street and nearby parking structures. (See attached map)
