GSTV to move more than 80 team members to Bedrock-owned 1201 Woodward Avenue

April 7, 2015 [DETROIT] – Gas Station TV (GSTV), a Rockbridge Growth Equity company, today announced it will relocate its headquarters from Birmingham, Michigan to 1201 Woodward Avenue, the former Kresge building, in the heart of downtown Detroit. GSTV will move its entire operation, including more than 80 team members, and occupy three floors totaling approximately 15,000 square feet in the historic building owned and managed by Bedrock Real Estate Services. Construction is currently underway on the new state-of-the-art offices and the move is expected to be completed by June 2015.

Founded in 2006, GSTV is America’s No. 1 video network at the pump with over 52 million monthly viewers who watch the programming while fueling up their vehicles. The network provides exclusive content from ESPN, CNN’s Headline News and Buzz Today, Bloomberg TV and AccuWeather at fuel retailers across the country. In less than a decade, the at-the-pump broadcast has grown from a five-station pilot to 3,000 stations in 45 states. GSTV projects continued rapid growth in the number of gas stations carrying its programming and in its advertiser base which includes numerous Fortune 500 companies in the automotive, retail, consumer packaged goods and personal finance industries.

Kraemer Design Group is the architecture firm working to transform GSTV’s new headquarters on the corner of Woodward Avenue and State Street, which will feature a demonstration area with various gas dispensers and video monitors. Reclaimed wood will be used in the design to build a canopy, creating the feel of an actual gas station.

The 9-story mid-rise building dates back to 1891 and is the former home of Kresge department store. GSTV’s offices will be located along the future route of the M-1 Rail, a 6.6 mile round trip circulating streetcar project along Woodward Avenue, slated for completion in 2016. The building is also within walking distance of Campus Martius Park and a variety of retail shops and restaurants including Wright & Company, 7 Greens, Freshii, Punch Bowl Social, Citizen Yoga, Texas de Brazil, Hard Rock Cafe, John Varvatos Detroit, Moosejaw, Nojo Kicks and many more.
