Plans for Brush Park Redevelopment are Announced

Detroit’s first major residential development in decades is announced for the city’s historic Brush Park neighborhood (bounded by Edmund, John R, Brush and Alfred). Brush Park Development Partners was selected to transform the 8.4-acre, 47-parcel site, constructing more than 300 new residential units, retail and green public space within walking distance of the M-1 RAIL streetcar line. Four historic mansions will be restored in addition to new construction. Both for-sale and for-rent options will be available. Brush Park Development Partners includes: Marvin Beatty, Darrell Burks, Freman Hendrix, Pamela Rodgers, Sam Thomas, and Bedrock Development. The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
